Shredding, Free Seedlings, and Water Testing
Saturday April 27 is shaping up to be a busy day at the DPW on Rock Road!
Paper Shredding for Residents
Residents can bring shredding to the DPW on Saturday, April 27, between 9 am - noon. Please register at the DPW during the week of April 22.
Free Seedlings
The Washington Township Environmental Commission and Shade Tree Commission in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Forestry and Arbor Day Foundation are offering free tree seedlings to residents on Saturday, April 27 from 9a.m. to 12noon at the Washington Township Department of Public Works Center at 54 Rock Road.
There will be 6 varieties of trees to choose from among (Kousa Dogwood, Cornelian Cherry, Black Gum, Eastern White Pine, White Oak, and Swamp Oak). There are 175 seedlings, with approximately 25 of each available. Supplies are limited and are first come, first serve. For more information call the DPW 908-876-3382 or email wtenv@wtmorris.net.
Well Water Testing
WT Environmental Commission and Raritan Headwaters sponsoring Well Testing. Kit pick up is April 27, drop off is April 29. Kits can be picked up at DPW, between the hours of 9 am and noon. View the flyer for cost.
