 DEPUTY COURT ADMINISTRATOR* - The position is currently part time (28 hours) with the potential to become full time within 6 months of hire.  The ideal candidate to have experience in all aspects of court administration, including a strong working knowledge of ATS/ACS, PCSam and Page Center computer systems. Strong financial skills in managing the general and bail accounts preferred. Excellent customer service skills, attention to details, organization and self-motivation are necessary. Candidates must be available for court sessions and the salary is commensurate with experience. Candidates must be accredited as set forth by the NJ Rules of Court, 1:41-3. The hiring process will comply with NJ Court Rule 1:34-3, adopted September 13, 2011. Must have  conditional accreditation and become fully accredited within three years of the hire date as set forth in the New Jersey Court Rules.

ZONING OFFICER – Part-time, some scheduled office hours will be required. Rate dependent on qualifications. Responsible for enforcement of the provisions of chapter 217 of the Township Code, examination of all applications for zoning permits, plan review to determine if applications to other departments require zoning permits, engineer review or board approval, issue Highlands exemptions as appropriate and respond to zoning complaints. Experience and knowledge of municipal land use and Highlands regulations a plus. Must be proficient in office products and/or similar programs. 

 

TAX ASSESSMENT OFFICE CLERK – 21 to 28 hours per week, $13-$17/Hr. Must be customer service driven, possess computer skills including Word and Excel, and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with municipal government or real estate preferred, municipal assessing office and Microsystems experience a plus. 

 

ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER/DEPUTY ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER -Timely response to calls and complaints from public or municipal official, capture of stray domestic animals, as well as wild animal rabies vectors. Investigate reports of bite incidents and vicious dogs; seizure and impoundment of dogs meeting criteria under State law, arrange immediate emergency veterinary care of sick or injured animals, transportation of captured animals to impoundment facility and animal shelter facilities (up to 15 miles) for stray dogs and for dogs the Township has reason to believe fit the criteria of Potentially Dangerous, as set forth by law and in accordance with Township procedures. Certification or willingness and ability to obtain a plus. Anticipated start date Jan. 1, 2020. 

BUILDINGS, GROUNDS AND PARKS HELP – WASHINGTON TWP, MORRIS COUNTY – PT; $13-$16 per hour. Requires mowing, cleaning of parks, offices, bathrooms and kitchens; trash removal. Some weekend work required.
