Repair work on a county bridge on Black River Road in Washington Township is beginning the week of June 17 , with detours set up to divert traffic over the next several months.

County Bridge No. 1401-260, which spans a tributary to the Black River, will close for at least 60-to-90 days while the contractor makes repairs.

The repair work will include de-construction of the parapet walls and then reconstruction utilizing the existing stones. The arches will be repaired and lightweight fill will be placed on top, followed by asphalt pavement.

Sparwick Contracting of Lafayette is the contractor.
