Two Ordinances Introduced at January Township Committee Meeting
The following ordinances were introduced at the January 16, 2023 meeting of the Township Committee.
CALENDAR YEAR 2023 ORDINANCE TO EXCEED THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION LIMITS AND TO ESTABLISH A CAP BANK (N.J.S.A. 40A:4-45.14) – INTRODUCTION AND FIRST READING |
[SUMMARY – Would increase the cap on specified budget appropriations from 2.5% to 3.5% and any difference between budgeted appropriations for items inside the cap and 3.5% would be added to a cap bank. AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON, COUNTY OF MORRIS, STATE OF NEW JERSEY AUTHORIZING GRANT OF EASEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON AND ELIZABETHTOWN GAS COMPANY FOR THE PROPERTY DESIGNATED AS BLOCK 24, LOT 7 ON THE WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP TAX MAP |
[SUMMARY – grants an easement in Rock Spring Park to Elizabethtown Gas Company for the purpose of providing gas service to the senior center. There is currently gas service to the Public Library in the park and this ordinance would allow that line to be extended to the Senior Center. Please click link for full ordinance.]
Said Ordinances will be considered for final reading and adoption at a regular meeting of the Washington Township Committee to be held on February 15, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. at the Washington Township Municipal Building, 43 Schooley’s Mountain Road, Long Valley, New Jersey at which time and place all persons interested shall be given an opportunity to be heard concerning same.
